I am trying to simulate free surface flow on steep slope downstream slope of an embankment using T3D. I noticed that close to the toe of the embankment the oscillation of surface flow elevation is strong and travelling upstream is less. I attached a copy of the steering file. Any idea on reducing or eliminating such condition?
Note that this is Lab case!!
I also notice than in the old version of T3D we had option of T2D (TELEMAC-2D OPTIONS) and is omitted in v7p2r3, my question is t3D when calling T2d which option now execute?
NOM = 'OPTIONS POUR TELEMAC-2D'
NOM1 = 'TELEMAC-2D OPTIONS'

INDEX = 88
MNEMO = 'OPTT2D;SOLSYS'

RUBRIQUE1 = 'NUMERICAL PARAMETERS';'GENERAL'

AIDE = 'premier entier 1: systeme st-venant tronque

deuxieme entier 1: Equations primitives
2: Equation d onde'
AIDE1 = 'first integer 1: partial st-venant system
2: complete st-venant system
second integer 1: primitive equations
2: wave equation'
Unfortunately I don't know an answer, but some years ago I tried to simulate a dam break case with Telemac-3D, too.
I got almost same behaviour, although I experimented with a lot of keywords in order to stabilize the simulation. Hence, what I want to say, you are not alone..
With best regards,
Clemens
